Green Knight Multimedia was officially launched at St Thomas’ Church in Wells, Somerset on the 15th of August 2020, which providentially is also the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.
Dr Reza Shah-Kazemi opened the day with a brief introduction of the intentions and essence that motivated the initiation of this company, followed by an introduction to the day’s speakers; Tom Bree (introduced by Emma Clark) talking about Greenness and the Golden Ratio, Abdu Gazzar on Al-Khidr (The Green Man) in Sufism, and Guy Ogilvy on the Alchemical Symbolism of the Green Knight. This is followed by a Q&A session lead by Kristiane Backer.
Tom Bree will introduce a variety of themes including geometry and greenness and the symbolism of the Green Knight in cosmology and spirituality across the different religions, which will all be expanded upon in subsequent episodes.
Our third speaker on the Launch Event is Abdu Gazzar, he is taking us through a spiritual journey of Prophets and Saints where he shows how Al-Khidr ( The Green Man) is connected to them and how he is portrayed in Islam and particularly in Sufism.
Guy Ogilvy will take us through an alchemical journey where we learn how we are more connected to alchemy than we think. This first episode is part of the Launch Event where we were honored to have Guy with us. He gave us a brief talk about alchemy and the Green Knight. More to come where he elaborates on the symbolism of alchemy in western mythology.
On our last session of the Launch Event, all speakers are sitting together ready for Q&A from the audience, led by Kristiane Backer.
